American Design Language

We had a great time working with the team at Made in NYC Week again this year!
We gave their website a small but mighty UX upgrade—no more endless scrolling to find events. Now there’s a clean filter system to help you get where you want faster. We also picked this year’s color palette and designed posters, brochures, and social media templates.
If you haven’t checked out Made in NYC Week before, it’s a celebration of the city’s amazing makers and businesses—and it kicks off this Thursday! Learn more

We’re pleased to share that American Design Language has been featured in DesignRush for our work on VUND’s branding and packaging design! 🎉
This project was all about creating a bold, modern identity that reflects VUND’s energy and innovation.
“Vund is a brand focused on sustainability, offering eco-friendly home goods, including hand-poured beeswax candles. ADL Studio’s design for Vund’s packaging communicates these values by blending modern elegance with environmental responsibility, presenting the brand as both luxurious and eco-conscious.
The packaging design is minimalist, which perfectly reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The candle label design’s use of matte black with gold accents gives the products a high-end, refined feel while keeping the environmental message front and center. The simple, clean lines and sparse use of text enhance the overall elegance.” - Rafi Lim

I’m always a fan of larger than life visuals, when the opportunity arises.
I loved being part of the hands that made the exhibition for the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s current exhibition in Building 92, In Motion.
ADL created the branding for In Motion and the graphic panels & vinyls that lead visitors around the exhibition.
More on the exhibition picked up from the Brooklyn Navy Yard site:
Featuring more than forty photographs taken by Yard-based photographer JC Cancedda, IN MOTION calls attention to the importance of handcraftsmanship to manufacturing, design, and industrial production. Moving throughout the gallery, visitors are invited to take a moment to appreciate the intentional, focused, and highly skilled work unfolding in the photographs and to consider how ideas flow through the hand in ways that marry artistry and craftsmanship.
Taken between May and December 2023, the photographs provide a small snapshot of the 11,000+ workers that call the Brooklyn Navy Yard home. The photographs represent the diversity of industries at the Yard as well as helping to reveal some of the materials, tools, and machines that drive contemporary industrial innovation.
