Our United Road family is deeply grateful to our active military personnel and veterans. To show our support, we have partnered with Transport for Troops to provide vehicle transport services to active-duty military families who are asked to relocate to another stateside base and would have to pay for the family’s second vehicle move.

United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Timothy French shared his family’s story about the move that United Road facilitated and paid for: “The help that Transport for Troops provides greatly helps my family and me get through this PCS (permanent change of station). I have a 2-year-old son and my wife and I are expecting our daughter in December. Due to my wife's health, she will not be able to drive our second vehicle on the 45-hour drive to California and will be flying once I arrive . We have received quotes for shipment but because of the high costs of housing in California and preparing for our new baby, the cost of shipment would have been a large financial burden on our family.”

We want to thank and recognize Transport for Troops’ co-founders Pilot Transport Owner Operator Mike Feurhelm and friend Will Morden, both U.S. Army veterans, who founded the nonprofit in 2016.

We have never met a car show that didn’t make us drool! We appreciate each owner who allows us to move their prized collections.

Summers are known for barbecues, beaches, and our favorite pastime—attending car shows! Today is National Car Collector Appreciation Day. Collectors come from many backgrounds, and their collections are endless, from one-of-a-kind kit vehicles to historic, restored, or restomod vehicles.

What do collectors have in common? They love collecting, restoring, showing off, and driving history. Collectors spend time and money on their precious car babies. Our Pilot Transport division is honored to be the enclosed specialty transport provider of choice for many owners, ensuring their priceless vehicles are moved on time and damage-free.

We have to share one final HOT ROD Power Tour post. Last year, Michael Davis and Collette Fox were Susan G. Komen high bidders in our auction. Part of the package included roundtrip transportation during this year’s tour. They asked us to transport their 2000 NASCAR vehicle, driven by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., with chassis #006. What a sweet ride!

Pilot Transport's Brian Measel picked up the car in Charlotte and displayed it at every stop along the tour. Michael was kind enough to let the kids get in the car every chance he could. The couple also donated a fire suit worn by Dale Jr., several jerseys, and two guitars for this year's Komen auction. They rode in style along the tour in this striking yellow Corvette.

As we wrap up the 30th HOT ROD Power tour, we want to share a few more cool cars and moments. We are honored to haul Motor Trend’s most legendary vehicles—and they call this work?! 😆

Our complimentary long-haul map cards were used for celebrity autographs, including from our good friend Murray Pfaff from Pfaff Designs.

We helped facilitate the auction of some incredible items to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer fundraiser. A big thanks to Michael Davis for donating two custom-painted guitars and a genuine Dale Earnhardt driving suit!
