Customers frequently ask me if I make shampoo and conditioner bars. I've given much thought to the idea and this is what I've come up with...I've decided to carry a few bars in my inventory, but I don’t personally make them. However, they are what I use on my own hair and I absolutely love them. The company Dip can never go out of business! Using the Dip brand products has drastically changed my hair for the better. Please check out their FAQ page and browse their website for more information and then check out what I have for inventory on my website. If you see something that you really like of theirs, but I don’t have it in stock, please let me know and I will see what I can do 😉

One full sized Dip conditioner bar alone can save you over $200 (personally I save over $500) if you're switching from pricey salon brands like Oribe. Of course you started with this question! The way we see it, the...

Truth! I see so many small and some larger companies making and selling their own insect repellent/spray and sunscreen without proper testing from a credible lab. People buy it and before doing my own research, I bought it, too. Not knocking anyone down, but it helps to research and ask questions. Knowledge is always great to have in abundance. Some customers ask me if I make any of these products and my answer is no. Research and formulating is time consuming and proper testing is expensive. This is not my full-time job, it's a passionate hobby/side gig. It's not worth the safety risk to customers or credibility on my end if the product doesn't work.
Please don’t make your own insect repellent! Here are many reasons why this is an abundantly terrible idea!
Insect repellents are pesticides that must go through extensive testing to make sure they works, and there’s no way you can conduct those tests at home.
You might think testing it in the wild is proof of excellence, but even then, an absence of bites doesn’t prove anything as there are so many variables and reasons the bugs might be quiet today.
You can research various essential oils to see what might work in a product, but that’s only theory, and – I can’t stress this enough – there is no guarantee it will work in real world applications or in the product you’ve created.
A bug repellant is a pesticide, and we don’t make pesticides in our homes.
If I make a crappy shampoo, the worst thing that happens is a bad hair day.
If I make a crappy bug repellant, you could suffer for a day or a lifetime, or you could die.
As someone who reacts pretty severely to mosquito bites – I did a presentation once with my left hand so swollen, every single child at the science centre asked what happened to my hand – I would be furious if I bought something like this and it failed.
But that’s small potatoes when you consider what kinds of illnesses you can get from insect bites, like Lyme disease*, West Nile, Zika, malaria, and worse.
*Yay, Lyme disease has been found in my postal code! Hooray! 🤬
This is serious stuff, and it seems there’s an inverse correlation between those who make bug sprays and their formulating knowledge and expertise. Those who know enough to make things like sunscreen and insect repellants know enough not to make them unless the final product were to be tested in the lab and approved by the usual agency.
I’ve created this free post on the site to offer more information, which I’ll encourage you to click through to read more.

Saving the best (it's my personal favorite) for last. This one is classic wintertime in the form of soap. It's like walking in the woods, silent, with fresh, glistening snow everywhere, while being all bundled up, cozy and content. Scent notes are pine, juniper, fresh snow, sugar, orange, apple, cedarwood, mild cinnamon, peppermint and musk.
