MISSION STATEMENT: To provide everyone, with special needs or typically developing, fun, colorful, and protective clothes covers -- Dignity 4 All...Because everyone should be covered in Love... Precious moments that are such a joy, but go by so fast! With global developmental delays and mainly non-ambulatory, my son, Samuel Austin McNiff, chose to set his own pace and mark his own milestones dur
ing his life. As Sam grew bigger, I became increasingly aware that it was not proper nor dignified that my handsome young man wear bibs to protect his outfits. Linda Strittmatter, my step sisters’ mom, known affectionately as Meemaw, noticed this and made special ‘clothes covers’ just for Sam. Linda had been making these for all her grandchildren for quite some time out of recycled, colorful pieces of material and sweatshirts. These were perfect! Very appropriate for all children or young adults, typically developing or with special needs. Linda also created a fleece poncho to keep Sam warm while riding in his wheelchair! What a blessing to be called Sam’s mommy, however, on March 24th, 2009 Sam went to be with his Heavenly Father after a few years of chronic illness and pain. For me, this is a way for Sam to live on in the hearts he touched. He taught me that everyone should be ‘covered’ in Love...
