I'm honestly still reeling from a dinner party that went so wrong, I can't even wrap my head around it. It's wild how quickly a fun evening with friends can turn into a bizarre confrontation in your own home. I've known my friend for a long time, and I wouldn't have expected this kind of reaction from her or her husband in a million years.

It started out nicely enough. My husband and I invited my good friend and her husband over for a nice dinner at our place. I'm thirty-one, and my husband's also thirty-one, and we've been happily married and secure in our relationship. We were having a really enjoyable time just chatting, catching up on life, and eating. They're good company usually, so we didn't suspect anything weird would happen.

During the meal, they couldn't stop praising the food. They loved the dish so much that they started asking me for the recipe and wanting to know exactly how to make it. That's where things took a turn. I'm just not a good cook at all, and I've never claimed to be.

My husband, on the other hand, has always been the one to cook our meals. He loves being in the kitchen, and it's a huge passion of his. He grew up in a family where everyone cooks together, so it's practically in his blood. Since he's the one who prepared the whole dinner, I just honestly told them that he cooked it and I wasn't sure what the recipe was.

This is where the evening got really weird. My friend and her husband didn't just accept my answer and move on. Instead, they started laughing right in our faces. They asked if we were serious about me not being a good cook, acting like it was the most ridiculous thing they'd ever heard.

It didn't stop there. They started making these bizarre comments, saying that my husband's actually the "housewife" in the relationship since he's doing all the cooking. I'm pretty laid back, so I thought they were just joking around and making some weird,

AITA for posting a picture of my own baby?

I'm 28, my ex-husband's 29. We got divorced at the start of last year. Right after the divorce went through, I found out I was pregnant. I decided to keep the baby, and back in November my son was born. Let's call him Caleb. Caleb lives with me Sunday through Friday, and on Saturdays he stays with his dad.

Here's where the trouble starts. My ex's new fiancée — her name's Jennavieve, yes, with a "J" — has decided to act like Caleb is her son.

She's trying to teach my baby to call her "Mommy." That's what he calls me. She criticizes the baby products I buy, calls me cheap, and at one point actually told me she thinks she should get part custody — and she and my ex aren't even married yet.

But the thing that pushed me over the edge happened last week. I posted a picture of my son. A totally normal photo of my own baby. And Jennavieve had the audacity to message me saying I can't post a picture of MY baby without her permission.

I gave birth to him. I take care of him six days out of seven. And she wants to tell me I need her sign-off to post a photo?

The worst part? She posts pictures of him constantly. And when she does, she frames it like he's her son. Like she's the mom and I'm some afterthought.

So after all that, I'd had it. I sat my ex and Jennavieve down and gave them an ultimatum about the way she's been treating Caleb — like he's hers, when she sees him one day a week and isn't even officially his stepmom.

And to be clear, I'm not trying to keep my son from people who love him. If she actually wanted to be a kind stepmom-to-be, I'd welcome it with open arms. Bonus adults who care about your kid are a gift. But that's not what this is. This is a woman erasing me — teaching my baby I'm
