a More Future Tomorrow
A More Future Tomorow is not term limits...we have term limits now.
We have term limits now, they are called voters. Term limits take away a bit of your sacred rights, the vote and the right to vote for who you want.
Who has a 5 minute idle law like we do in MA? The most polluting time for a car is when it idles. It's an individual responsibility to do this.
Hardly anyone follows it (I do religiously). Individuals either need to listen to music, have air conditioning etc and their convenience seems to be more important than the inconvenient truth.
Blame shifting to an organization while ignoring the individual convenience so many people will not give up or don't even realize they have is problematic to solutions. We all have a role in causing less pollution and acknowledging our own complicity is vital.
This isn't a screed about Trump...I have and still say we must have zero emissions from entities into the air or water. Until we do that the cost of pollution will never be captured and paid by those who buy the products made or services used.
We all have cheap energy and cheap phones because the pollution cost is never captured, it just gets floated away.
And that will be an individual role too because then if you want an electronic device you will pay for the full cost including the waste
But that is a far distant a More Future Tomorrow and the current path needs to be a continued incremental progress that my generation started and which turned fithy air and water much better. There is no radical solution, we will have flooded coasts, we will have shifting eco zones and we won't get better turning half the country off on enviromentalism.
A couple more individual changes...don't let individuals buy cheap underpriced subsidized flood insurance that just helps people build where they shouldn't (even without climate change coasts flood bad)....allocate people costs correct with a tax policy that has individuals pay more taxes for more kids, not deductions from tax burdens. Bigger families equals more pollution equals more tax burden...not less.
A More Future Tomorrow looks like 80 - 90% voter participation in all our elections.
