Stopped into Jim’s Market in Medford for Sunday Sandos to try their famous B-Boy Breakfast Sandwich. This neighborhood gem has been serving these things up for 50 years. Traditionally these bad boys are drenched in James River BBQ sauce. It worked great with the sandwich.
Portsmouth & The Sea Coast is hosting their spring restaurant week starting this Thursday, April 9th and it runs through April 18th. I had a chance to try a few spots in Portsmouth, and I was really really impressed with their food scene. Cure even made my list as being one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Fantastic stuff. Head down and check out restaurant week!
The North Shore Roast Beef has come to the city of Boston, and Fenway Park. Game On Fenway just started doing a Roast Beef for all you fans out there. This thing was massive, and I called in an expert to see if the hype was worth it. NSRBs are a scary subject to bring up in Mass because of the popularity and scrutiny these sandwiches face from fans, so I suggest going to try it yourself before being quick to judge.
Sunday Sandos at the Hi Rise Bread company in Cambridge, MA
Great sandwiches start with great bread. Hi Rise opened 30 years ago, and has been making everything from scratch since that moment. Everything comes from their bakers and staff in house, and it’s absolutely delicious.
Red Sox return tonight at 4:10 PM.

Rossetti in Beverly, MA was this weeks stop for Sunday Sandos. My favorite was the vodka parm, the Italian was decent. Not a huge fan of Virgilios rolls, I know their bakery is semi famous in Gloucester, not sure if just got a bad batch or what.
This is easily the most important question I asked Beefeatsfirst
Greenhills Bakery in Dorchester is known for their Irish soda bread, brown bread and Irish meals. They also have great sandwiches! This bakery really does it all, after chatting with some locals inside, I really got why they were such a gem.
I had the opportunity to chat with Jeremiah Foley over at his families pub which is the oldest Irish Pub in Boston. They’re known for having one of the best Guinness pours, but I was more interested in the families story!
