The Diahann Project
đź’Ž two days. bigger love.
about a weeks ago I witnessed a thing. I received so many beautiful reminders of what being in community with women can look like.
behind my lens, I had the chance to witness the duality of care in our community in such a powerful way at annual Estrogina celebration alongside + . BIG SHOUT OUT to + for centering woman, again + again in their work.
big love as well to fellow photographer for the good vibes + dope flow over these two days. I truly love working with amazing creatives.
some highlights had to be visually archiving between The Cut + with the Minnies on Day I. facilitated a soft, grounding space where creativity + healing met through the sweet creative arts offerings by .co + . A space where young women could exhale, create + simply be.
stepping into The Cut, the energy shifted in the best way, women showing up for their health + wellness in full force. big love to .nathalie.alexis + for the amazing movement practices alongside one of my faves on the 1’s + 2’s
+ then Day II… when the diamonds came out.
such sweet vibes from the realest conversation led by with my fellow island girl that felt so deeply honest, grounding + needed. plus the live music stylings from + filled the room with so much soul.
one of my favorite parts? getting to witness some of my girls receive their flowers. congrats .nisha_ +
moments like these remind me why I do this work, documenting the ways we gather, heal, celebrate + hold one another.
grateful to have been behind the lens for it all.

how often do we celebrate our journey + the roots that support our walk through this life… more so as creatives, movers, humans, how do we honor our own vessels...
i have been revisiting archival work over the past through the notions of my own origin stories, namely as a creative + have been reminded of the mover within me that i am forever anchored too… though our relationship has shifted over the decades, we are still connected…
this exploration brought me to revisit my own creative photography archives + lift up so many collaborations + series. i had the honor to collaborate with + back in 2020 for these dance portraits, the telling of one’s story through the body… thank you both…
wha stories do you live to tell…
JOY IS OUR LIBERATION…
THIS MOMENT FOR JOY | NATAL CONVERSATIONS
Earlier this October, we gathered
held by breath, memory, and lineage.
became a circle of ,
a space where stories landed softly
+ joy was something we built together.
In the presence of our ancestors, we moved.
In community, we spoke truth.
Artifacts were held.
Heirlooms were honored.
Joy was reclaimed.
This was our remembering.
Our becoming.
A return to ourselves, through one another.
As the closed later that month,
this gathering remained with us
a reminder that you were held,
+ that joy is a practice we return to again + again.
It was an honor to witness our community arrive
with openness and grace at
This Moment for Joy | Natal Conversations,
led by Stefanie Belnavis ( ) + Alison Croney Moses ()
