Alex here. For those of you that don't know, today is my last day working for SUGGEST. Where am I going? I have a new job helping companies set up salary sacrifice schemes so that employers can reward their staff with mobile's, pc's, laptops, childcare vouchers etc. I wanted to say 'thank you all' for being so supportive over the last ten years (that's a quarter of my life!). Working with you all has been a pleasure and privilege. I wish you all the very best and will definitely keep in touch. :D

Disability History Month starts 22nd November. On the 25th November, Pendleton Gateway will be hosting a coffee morning. The focus - to celebrate disability. There will be displays and activities that showcase the achievements disabled people have made and continue to make in our local community. Hope to see you there.

Hey my name is Jenny and I get direct payments. I have a dog that acts like a human called Chester. I love drama and doing poems. I hate to see people in trouble and I'm usually the first to lend a hand. I do find some things challenging as my legs are no good to anyone! BUT if there's a will, there's a way. I’ve had a varied working life, I’ve been a childminder, dinner lady, social security inspector, production line worker at the HP sauce factory (that was a smelly one!) and a few others! Life is about variety, and since I’ve worked for SUGGEST there has been plenty!
My home life is fairly quiet now that my sons have grown up & left home, but I do miss them. I’ve just rediscovered knitting, but I’ve forgotten how complicated it can be – and I can’t watch Downton Abbey at the same time.
As co-ordinator my job is to help you to manage your care support, and to find the best way to spend your budget. It doesn’t matter whether you are local authority funded, or you pay yourself, if you need to employ care workers I can help you to figure out what’s best for you. Just phone, email or text me.
