We turn 25 today! The first Non-Event was on May 13, 2001 at MassArt and featured the insanely good double bill of Filament and Poire_Z. It's been a ride... thanks to all the musicians, organizers, partners, and audience members for your support over the years and to Dan Hirsch for taking the initial leap into the void!

This Saturday Michiko O. performs as part of this year’s festival. She’ll perform two short pieces including a piece from Pancake Moon, a hauntingly beautiful release in which in which she layers farfisa , piano samples, and live performance on the shō.

Michiko Ogawa (Michiko O) is a Berlin-based researcher-performer-composer born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She has performed at major international festivals including MaerzMusik (Berlin), Supersense Festival (Melbourne), Café OTO (London), Kontraklang (Berlin), Edition Festival (Stockholm), Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (UK), Ultraschall (Berlin), and the Brisbane International Film Festival, among others. Her most recent release, Pancake Moon, was recently released on Futura Resistenza.

A few photos and clips from last night’s concert with singing Feldman’s “Three Voices” and performing new iterations of their “Exstatic Resonances.” at First Church in JP. In spite of the rain it was a lovely night: fantastic performances and a great audience. Thanks to everyone who came out!
