The City of Boise is proposing a memorial in Julia Davis Park to honor the lives of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jesse Anderson, Chief Warrant Officer 3 George "Geoff" Laubhan, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Matthew Peltzer. The Idaho Army National Guardsmen tragically lost their lives in a Black Hawk crash during a routine training mission east of Boise last month.
The new memorial will be located off the Boise River Greenbelt next to the river. City Council will consider the project at Tuesday’s meeting. If approved, park designers will work closely with the families of the servicemen to design and construct it (the image included with this post is an example of a general node design from the park's master plan).
