🪞Did you know a mirror can be one of the best tools to help your baby turn their head both ways?
Babies love faces and reflections — so using a mirror on their non-preferred side makes stretching and strengthening feel like play! Try tapping the mirror, adding a spinner, or singing to grab their attention, and gently hold the opposite shoulder to help them get a true neck stretch.
Small moments like this add up to big changes in symmetry 💕

Torticollis doesn’t stop at the neck — it often affects the entire body’s symmetry and movement.
Look out for things like:
🌿 A C-curve through the spine
🌿 One shoulder or leg hiking higher
🌿 A tummy time ‘favorite arm’
🌿 A strong head-turn preference
🌿 Or leaning to one side on their belly
When we treat torticollis, we look at everything — from head to toe — so baby can move, play, and grow evenly. 🫶

The more I’ve worked with families — and the more I’ve lived motherhood myself — the more I’ve learned that growth looks different for every baby (and every mom). 💛
These are a few things I’ve learned to “betray” over the years as both a pediatric PT and a mom of three.
Because with time, you realize the small details matter more than the trends, early support makes a big difference, and that being a parent is just as much a learning process as anything we teach our little ones.
If one of these made you pause, that’s okay — we’ve all been there, and learning is part of the journey. 💚

Some stories in pediatric PT are scarier than any Halloween movie — and they happen every day. From unnecessary Botox to late referrals, insurance roadblocks, and helmets that could have been avoided… these are the real-life “plot twists” that make early awareness so important.
💡 The good news? Most of these scares can be prevented with the right guidance, early positioning, and consistent therapy.
Swipe through to see all the scary scenarios… and learn how to avoid them!
