Meet the dog that completed one of the toughest races on earth, The Marathon de Sables!

In 2019, the “marathon of the sands” saw an unlikely finisher in the form of a small dog who joined the proceedings on day 2 and just kept going to the finish line.

Now that April has arrived, the mountaineering world is once again turning its attention to the Himalayas. In the Nepali capital of Kathmandu, climbers are now arriving and preparing for the epic challenges ahead. Amongst them, is an ambitious group of African-American climbers who make up the first all-Black Everest team.

The team calls itself the Full Circle Everest Expedition and is led by veteran adventurer and mountaineer Phil Henderson.

For most people, Antarctica is a desolate place that has little to offer visitors, but to those of us who follow a more adventurous path, the frozen continent holds an undeniable allure.

If Antarctica is calling your name, the UK Antarctica Heritage Trust (UKAHT) is currently looking to fill three positions at its Port Lockroy location. This small base that is located there is home to a museum and is the southernmost operational post office in the world.
