Tonight's plans: A very high-stakes standoff between me and chapter twelve. I’m currently sitting here waiting for Eira and Erebus to stop being stubborn and actually follow the plot. So far they are winning and I am just staring at a blinking cursor while they probably plot my demise.

The Bramah and Shivara might be at war for the fate of reality but the real battle is happening right here on my laptop. Here is a little taste of the chaos:

“The Keystone pulsed with a light that didn't belong in this world, and for a moment, Eira wondered if saving reality was worth the headache Erebus was about to give her."

The editorial board—Kiley, Elisha, and the rest of the 11-bird committee—is currently screaming their critiques from the sidelines. Bailey has officially resigned as my Muse and is snoring.
If this chapter doesn't get finished it is because the characters have staged a full-blown mutiny and the birds are in on it.
