Penn State Natya is excited to FINALLY announce that Laasya 2017 will be returning to the East Coast and will be held in Nittany Lion Nation next spring!! We cannot express how honored we are to host this competition and can't wait to have 10 amazingly talented teams here!

What is Laasya?

It's the nation's oldest intercollegiate Indian classical dance competition across the nation! It was founded by Boston University and MIT in 2010, and since then has been hosted by many universities such as UC Berkeley, University of Washington, and Georgia Tech. 10 collegiate classical teams across the nation will come to perform choreographed pieces to compete for the championship title.
