Wildroot Botanicals
We appreciate the wildness in life, the wisdom of the plants, animals and elements around us. Together we dwell in our mountain home nestled in-between the stellar Cascade mountain range and the Salish sea we call home. It is here in these mountains, fields and shores that we hold our herbal intensives, apprenticeships and workshops. We are proud to host some of the very best herbalists in North A

Signs of spring are showing here in the Pacific Northwest! The oso berry leaves are emerging, signaling the transition into spring. The frogs have been responding too. I’ve been hearing them in the evening the past few nights and I’m seeing the first few robins. Paying attention to the shifting environment around us is a way to feel connected with something bigger than ourselves which can be so nourishing to our spirits. It’s a way for us to feel a part of incredible network of community of nature.

Today was such a sweet day working with plants to support a good nights sleep. We spent the loveliest of afternoons harvesting a black cohosh root from the garden and prepared it into medicine. Working with the plants directly, smelling, tasting and witnessing the way they like to grow is the best way to understand the gifts they offer us. It’s so healing to do this together as a group.
