“Plants are a way of life. Using herbs isn’t just about medicine or healing. It’s about breath. Life. About faith, and how to live on this Earth in a more balanced and wholesome way, together. Plants thrive in community. They give out far more than they take in. They are sustainable in every way.” ~ Rosemary Gladstar

Calendula officinalis oil! Calendula is an alterative herb that works in a number of ways. It’s an exceptional wound healer for both internal and external wounds. When applied topically it circulates and gently dries stagnant and boggy lymph conditions, including infection and edema.
I’ve made an oil to keep around all year as a base for salves and chapsticks. Add cocoa butter, shea butter, beeswax, essential oils, and other infused medicinal oils for a soothing cream! I like to use one part calendula and one part cottonwood oil as a face oil.

Midday adrenal reset water: lemon, lemon balm, sarsaparilla, eleuthero, prickly ash—and one small sugar ant for sweetness…and protein I suppose.
After you’ve put in the hectic hours with work or chores, lemon balm soothes and disperses emotional or physical stagnation. Eleuthero is a gentle adaptogen to protect against oxidative stress. It’s a lovely drink to mellow you out to focus on the second half of the day without diminishing energy levels..
