❄️W I N T E R P R E P❄️

It’s no surprise that we have long winters here in Montana. Keeping our horses happy + healthy is our main priority, and we spend this time of year prepping to do just that!

❄️ Our horses vastly range in age and size, so each one has a nutrition plan tailored to fit their individual needs. During the colder months they will consume more forage.

❄️ Our full size horses have access to go in and out of their shelters as they please, so we use waterproof turnout blankets to keep them dry and warm.

❄️ Water intake is always a huge concern in the winter. We use heated auto-waterers in our stalls and pastures. This prevents them from freezing and keeps the temperature more appealing to the horses. We also add salt to their diet to encourage them to drink more!
