COMPARING PSYCHEDELIC THERAPIES:

Its important to mention up front that between these two, only psilocybin is classified as a true, “classic” psychedelic. Ketamine can have strong and profound psychedelic properties but this is highly dependent on the skill and expertise of its provider to understand the blood serum levels at which ketamine displays psychedelic qualities. Ketamine’s molecular structure makes it an anesthetic at its core - acting to block glutamate receptors as an antagonist, thereby reducing pain, and even communication between nerve cells, learning and memory. Users report it as gentle, a dissociation from pain and trauma and other intense emotions. Yet questions remain whether ketamine helps resolve core issues, or acts as another numbing agent so common in the pharmaceutical realm.

Many say it depends on the providers skill, and the method of application. And many have been very happy with at-home microdosing procedures for day to day symptom management. Psilocybin is not quite there with at-home treatment options.
