Beaver County Truancy Intervention Program

Getting ready for a new exciting school year!

So to be fair, I wanted to give separate acknowledgement for both school events.
Ambridge " Bridgers back to School Kick-Off" was held yesterday, August 19th at the Ambridge HS field house and was a huge success. Well over 350 participants!

A huge thanks to Eliana Jorgensen and Stephanie Haase, social workers for the district, as well as Brandie Skoneiczny in their organization of the event. Good job! Also a special thanks to Dave Matzie in getting all of the site preparations as well as the Ambridge Administration for their participation and support.

This is the reason we do the truancy program. We want a positive spin on coming back to school. It doesn't have to be dreaded but instead looked forward to and fun!

As a side note, WTAE- Channel 4 News was on site and presented a spot on the 6 p.m. news last night which likely can be viewed on their website
