Choosing fabrics, matching points, solving little design puzzles, and learning new techniques all give your brain a healthy workout. Add the friendships made along the way, and you've got one pretty amazing hobby.

Celebrate 250 years of American history with Home of the Free, a special wool appliqué project I designed for the Woolie Friends Wool & Freedom Stitch Along.
This patriotic design features a welcoming cottage adorned with an American flag, festive fireworks, tiny blossoms, and a tiny quilt.
Created to commemorate America's 250th Anniversary (1776–2026), this design is a heartfelt tribute to the freedoms we enjoy and to the courageous men and women who fought to secure and protect them.
The pattern is available as a FREE download for five days (June 21-26, 2026). After the promotional period, the pattern will be available for purchase.
