Operation Baton Rouge

Share

Operation Baton Rouge exists to unite and empower the veteran community across Greater Baton Rouge by connecting veterans and their families to opportunities, support, and vital services.

06/07/2026

On this day 82 years ago, Allied forces executed the largest amphibious invasion in history: D-Day. This operation accelerated the defeat of the N**i regime.

As the ranks of WWII veterans grow smaller, our responsibility grows larger: to remember not just their victory, but what they stood against: tyranny, oppression, and genocide.

The D-Day anniversary reminds us that liberty and democracy are not permanent, instead these principles require constant vigilance and the will to defend them against any threat.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸΊ Red, White & Brew: Celebrate 250 πŸΊπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

What an incredible day of fellowship, learning, and community!

We want to extend a sincere thank you to all of the veterans and supporters who joined us for our Red, White & Brew: Celebrate 250 event. Participants had the unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the brewing process, learning how beer is made and even helping brew a special beer that commemorates America's 250th birthday.

A special thank you to Caleb for sharing his knowledge, passion, and time to make this experience possible. And to Bryan Allen for organizing and sharing his wisdom as well!

We also want to thank Cypress Coast Brewing Co partnering with us and creating a limited-edition Imperial Porter in honor of America's 250th anniversary. We are grateful for your support of the veteran community and for helping bring this vision to life.

πŸ“Έ Check out some of the photos from the event!

And if you missed it, don't worry. The beer is currently being brewed and will be available in July. Be sure to stop by and try this special, limited-edition Imperial Porter while it lasts.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. We look forward to raising a glass with you soon!

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Cheers to 250 years of American history, service, and community!

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Memorial Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today, we honor the brave men and women who made
the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the start
of summer, it is a day of remembrance for the heroes
who never made it home.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the families who carry their legacy
forward every day.

Because of them, we enjoy the freedoms we often take
for granted.

As you spend time with family and friends today, take a
moment to pause and reflect on those who gave
everything for this nation.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Gone, but never forgotten.

If you would like, share the name or photo of a fallen
hero in the comments so we may honor them together.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ National Police Week πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This week, we honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who serve and protect our communities every single day.

Many officers are military veterans, continuing their commitment to service long after they’ve taken off the uniform. They bring with them the same discipline, courage, and dedication to something greater than themselves.

Police Week is also a time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and to stand with the families who carry that loss every day.

Today we honor the courageous men and women who have been awarded the Silver Star Medal, the nation’s third-highest military decoration for valor in combat.

The Silver Star recognizes those who have displayed extraordinary heroism and gallantry in action - service members who faced danger head-on and went above and beyond in service to others and our country.

Silver Star Service Banner Day also honors the families of these heroes. The Silver Star Banner is proudly displayed by loved ones to recognize the sacrifice and bravery of their service member.
