1. The IRS holds all refunds with EARNED INCOME CREDITS until after February 15. Refunds will NOT be released on the 15th. But they will begin to actually set dates to them.
2. Yes, you may have the PATH message! Today is just the 15th. You may actually have that message until Saturday or Sunday.
3. No, you will not get a date today! We are expecting dates to be released over the weekend!
4. We are expecting refunds to be released starting next week sometime.
5. If you get a letter in the mail saying verify your identification, PLEASE DO SO! You will not get your refund until you do.
6. If you get a letter telling you to please allow 30, 60, or 90 days.....they are verifying the accuracy of your return.
7. If you get a letter telling you that you are being audit/examined, you must prove EVERYTHING that was put on your return. EVERYTHING!

I say, don't check WHERES MY REFUND until Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Checking it now, will only make you mad. It's the same way every single year. Refunds usually be released between February 19-27.
