Marriage is sacred.

But we live in a day and age where many people do not understand real true covenant and sacredness. Covenant does not begin at the altar; it begins with the One who created you.

Why are so many people watching p*orn, having emotional and sexual affairs and or hidden sexual immorality? 🤔

Because many people are starving for intimacy while trying to satisfy it apart from God. When hearts drift from their Creator, people often seek comfort, validation, excitement, escape, or connection through counterfeit substitutes. The counterfeit cannot create the real thing, so he offers a counterfeit version that promises fulfillment but ultimately leaves us empty.

The bible speaks extensively about sexually immorality because it affects body, soul, emotions, and spirit of a person. It damages trust, distorts identity, weakens discernment, and leaves wounds that reach far beyond the moment of compromise. It defiles one’s body.

Purity is not simply the absence of sexual sin. Purity is wholehearted devotion to God. It is a heart that says, “You alone are worthy of my love, my worship, my obedience, and my affection.” When a person’s relationship with the Lord is healthy, strong, and intimate, it becomes the foundation upon which every other relationship is built.

So what is an adulterer to the Lord? It is someone who is unfaithful to God first, because God is the source of truth, holiness, and covenant faithfulness. Adultery begins in the heart of a person. It’s an inward condition before an outward manifestation. It begins as a spiritual drift aka decay….

So, How can marriages flourish and thrive in this day and age? It begins within each person individually and collectively together. A thriving marriage is not sustained just by love for one another. It is sustained by two people who are continually pursuing the Lord and allowing Him to shape their hearts. The strongest marriages are not built on feelings alone, they are built on covenant, commitment, repentance, forgiveness, and a mutual shared pursuit of intimacy with the Lord.

If we desire purity in marriage, we must first pursue purity before God. If we desire faithfulness to our spouse, we must first cultivate faithfulness to the Lord. The health of our covenant with God will ultimately influence the health of every covenant relationship in our lives.

So many times in marriage, we focus on the other person…what they’re not doing, what they’re not providing, or what they’re not becoming for us. We often place expectations on our spouse that were never theirs to carry. The truth is that lasting transformation begins within.

My husband and I have discovered that freedom, healing, and healthy relationships are rooted in personal growth and spiritual alignment. As God heals the individual, He strengthens the marriage. As He restores identity, He restores covenant. As He brings order to the heart, He brings order to the home.

We believe the Lord is reviving marriages. He is restoring families. He is healing hearts, breaking unhealthy cycles, and calling His people back to covenant, purity, and purpose.
