Over the past several months, Moor Caring Hands has helped connect at least **20 young adults** to Wi-Fi so they could check job applications, apply for work, respond to emails, complete forms, and stay connected to opportunities.

From that experience, we saw the need clearly.

Many young adults are not lacking motivation.

They are lacking consistent access.

A young person may have a phone, but without service or internet access at home, they may miss interview calls, job updates, GED information, training opportunities, and mentorship support.

That is why we created the **Future Connect Initiative**.

Future Connect helps remove communication and transportation barriers for Baltimore young adults participating in our Workforce Development & AI Readiness Cohort.

Our pilot goal is **$2,500** to support **5 young adults** with connectivity assistance, transportation support, and access to opportunity.

This is not just about phones.

This is about helping young adults stay connected to employment, education, mentorship, and a better future.

At Moor Caring Hands, workforce development goes beyond the classroom.
Today our participants are learning one of the most valuable skilled trades in the grocery industry—retail meat cutting.
They receive hands-on instruction in: • Shop safety • Proper equipment operation • Identifying wholesale and retail cuts • Portion cutting • Packaging and presentation • Professional work habits
Many people don't realize that skilled meat cutters are in high demand and can build long-term careers with opportunities to advance into management or even own their own business.
Our goal is simple: provide young adults with practical, marketable skills that lead to employment and financial independence.
Every new skill learned is another door opened.

Are you looking for a job, career direction, trade opportunity, or a pathway to a better future?

Moor Caring Hands is launching a FREE 3-Week Opportunity Pathways Cohort designed to help young adults prepare for employment, explore career opportunities, and develop a plan for success.

During this cohort participants will:

✅ Learn what employers are looking for

✅ Build or improve their resume

✅ Practice interview skills

✅ Learn workplace expectations

✅ Develop a personalized Employment Action Plan

✅ Explore career, trade, and certification opportunities

Program Details:

📅 3 Weeks

💻 Online via Google Meet

🕒 One evening per week

💲 Free to participate

Participants who complete the cohort will receive:

✔ Personalized Action Plan
