The national average price of diesel dropped 10.7 cents in its third consecutive decline, according to Energy Information Administration data released July 11.

Highlights
• The price of diesel has fallen by at least a dime in the past two weeks after a 2.7-cent dip June 27.
• The average cost for trucking’s main fuel has plummeted 24.2 cents a gallon since June 20.
• Still, a gallon costs $2.344 more than it did at this time in 2021.
• Diesel dropped by at least 11 cents in four of the 10 regions surveyed by EIA. The Lower Atlantic saw the biggest decline (11.8 cents); the Rocky Mountain region had the smallest (5.8 cents).
