🎉 EVENT RECAP: Engineers In Heels “Back to the Basics” STEAM Fest 🎉
📍 Melvin Theater | Saturday, May 31st, 2025

The Engineers In Heels “Back to the Basics” STEAM Fest was a resounding success, bringing together students, families, professionals, and community leaders for a powerful day of hands-on learning, inspiration, and engagement.

Key Highlights:

âś… 20 partnering organizations participated, representing industries across engineering, technology, education and entrepreneurship.

✅ 6 youth vendors showcased their businesses—many for the first time—demonstrating courage, creativity, and leadership.

âś… About 200 Students and families attended, engaging in interactive activities designed to spark interest in STEAM fields.

âś… Over 70 raffle prizes were donated by Walmart-Maplewood, adding excitement and appreciation for our guests.

✅ The St. Louis Police Department - 3rd District Police and Fire Departments supported the event while simultaneously assisting with tornado relief efforts—an incredible show of community commitment.

âś… David Godbout, owner of the Melvin Theater, not only believed in and supported our vision by offering his venue but also personally provided food for the entire event. A big shoutout to him and the entire Melvin Theater gang for their generosity, partnership, and unwavering support!

The STEAM Fest served as more than just an educational event. It was a catalyst for empowerment, offering youth a chance to envision themselves in future careers while connecting directly with role models and mentors.
