In 2019, Phoenix LiDAR advanced LiDAR data processing with the introduction of LiDARSnap and strip alignment in SpatialExplorer.

These tools were designed to improve flightline matching and pass-to-pass accuracy by optimizing LiDAR calibration and refining trajectory data, using overlapping flight paths to automatically correct imperfections and reduce misalignment.

With new trajectory optimization models, improved multi-laser calibration, and faster processing speeds, users could generate fully corrected point clouds in a single step, making high-accuracy results more efficient and accessible than ever before.

For mobile mapping and complex datasets, this marked a major leap forward in both accuracy and workflow efficiency.
