it was a great pleasure playing for a wonderful Monday afternoon crowd at Annie's AUS ✈️

spent the last couple weeks learning about Bob Marley and sharpening my island-reggae set for this! learned a whole new batch of songs and tightened up several i've been playing for a while. it was a blast and im super grateful to and everyone who stopped by to listen 🖤

the number one thing i've learned through all of this is something i thought i knew all along, but understand more and more through each hill and valley of my musical journey. that is that the community and togetherness that seems to bloom out of our music scene, bands, community and events, is everything 🙌🙏 through my music career i've gotten to experience the greatest kinship with so many of you, and that is ultimately what i'm here for. along with taking care of my wife, facilitating love and community through rock n roll is ultimately my purpose in life🕯️

i got off the phone with the other night and realized IT'S ALL HAPPENING 🤘😲💥

the first ZACH BLACK record is officially otw!! honestly, the patience it's taken me to dial in my vision and get the demos where they need to be has taken years off my life 😅 i'm extremely anxious to get back in the studio, show you guys some bangin new material, and get back out there on the scene with my full band, where I belong ✨✨

it's meant the world to me how this community has kept a place for me with amazing show invites, the incredible musicians who've jumped on to play with me, and most off all, those of yall who've been coming out and supporting, making amazing memories for me out of even the lowest-key gigs, and the faith and confidence expressed in me by so many that i've still got something awesome to offer. i will not let you guys down 🖤

SXSW26 was amazing 🤩🤩 thank you and for the show invites, to all the homiez who came and partied it up with me, and my main man for always delivering on the 📷📸

put your boi ZB on the calendar for SXSW 2026!! Friday 3/13 i'm stoked to play for the annual day party 2:45PM + Saturday 3/14 i'm opening up for and 4PM 💥💥

my last set was fu***ng badass 🤘😝 even though i feel very comfortable playing solo-acoustic, it's still a little weird getting up at some of my favorite austin rock venues by myself. those of you who came out made it really special, and that's what it's all about 🖤

i think that's what this new era of 'zach black' is about; sharing good times, authenticity, and quality of quantity. even though i've got nothing but love for my past projects, a lot of decisions were made with deadlines and budgets in mind. this time around i'm taking my time with every decision from writing and production, to how to perform the set, visuals and more. im putting in work on it every week, but only as much as im truly inspired, and willing to wait until the answers to hard questions become apparent. i believe the final product is going to seriously kick ass 😈🔥

right now i've got a solid demo for most of first record on my hands, and im stoked af about it ⚡️⚡️there are some big choices coming up about how to tie that up and put it out, and how i want to perform it, so we'll see what happens. but every session i put in or set i play, i can see the vision a little more clearly.

i can't wait to show you where i'm at this SOUTHBY and we'll also have the first stickers with the NEW Zach Black logo 🤩 i'm enjoying every step, and nothing would make me happier than to enjoy each one with you!
