Radical Optimist was born from the passions of Giselle Fryatt, in her search to create quality, colorful, one of a kind slow fashion pieces. In a past life she was probably a prospector panning rivers for gold in the High Sierras. She believes that the right clothes can draw the right people into your life. Just as peacocks fan their feathers to attract the right mate, Radical Optimist offers unique clothing pieces, and accessories to decorate your spirit, and advertise your magic to the world.

Hey y’all,

Thank you to everyone who is still with me on this strange Instagram journey! While I’ve been MIA, some BIG CHANGES have been happening over here! 🙌🏼 Here’s what’s new:

1. I moved to Austin, TX in January
2. I am pregnant! Due October 11th
3. I will slowly be transitioning this Instagram page from Grit & Gold to Radial Optimist

Radical Optimist is an idea I’ve been formulating for quite a while now. My plan is for it to be focused on my creations and art, rather than vintage. The vintage world will always be a deep love of mine, but it wasn’t fulfilling my soul’s deep desire to CREATE, so it was time to move on! 🙌🏼

Radical Optimist will focus on using second hand items (usually fabric) to then make new works of art! Along with digital art and potentially screen printing (when I finally figure out how to master that skill). And many, many more things in the future I’m sure!

Shifting into Radical Optimist will allow me to share more of the true ✨me✨. I have felt called to make wearable art that inherently attracts people to one another. Using art and clothing as a calling card is such a beautiful way of attracting kindred spirits into your life! It’s a powerful thing!

All in all, I would love it if y’all joined me on this creative journey. My vision for Radial Optimist is BIG and there will be some trial and error, but if you are patient I promise it will be worth it!

Thank you for your support through all the G&G years! And thank you for joining me on this exciting (and mildly scary 😬) new journey! 🤗🎉
