BUT I remember starting. I remember being so overwhelmed and thinking โ๐ก๐ข ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ ๐ช๐๐ฌ I am going to be able to clear my mind!โ I remember my anxiety telling me I wasn't going to be able to meditate.
But I ๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ and so can you! And let me tell you, it is about to rock your world!
My YouTube (Check My Bio) has -will have more- guided meditations! Itโs a great place to start BUT here is another great way to start right now!
Follow these steps:
- ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ. You want to be comfortable enough to sit without having to rearrange and fidget, but not too comfortable! You do not want to fall asleep.
- ๐๐น๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐. Put your phone on silent/do not disturb or even put it in the other room! Set a timer on your microwave, stove, watch or another device instead.
- ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฒ. You can close your eyes, which might help you turn inward. Or you can gaze at a spot in front of you or candle.
- ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ต. Belly breathing can help you find calm.
- ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต๐๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐! Is your mind racing? Are you reliving past anxieties or anticipating the future? Notice all that comes up. See if you can let your thoughts just be and come back to your breath whenever your mind becomes busy.
Continue this practice until your timer goes off. When five minutes becomes more tangible, consider meditating a bit longer. However, just five minutes each day is incredibly powerful.

- DO NOT suppress thoughts or act as if they "don't matter." Hear them. Acknowledge them. Sit with and digest them. And RELEASE THEM. Your passing thoughts are just that --> passing they do NOT DEFINE YOU! So, get out there and build those muscles, they wonโt turn into fat once youโre retired and sipping Pina Coladas (These will turn into fat though. So.... maybe drink them in moderation?) โฃโฃ
