“Unicorn 🦄 (emoji)”,

oils & gold leaf on 11x14 wood. For Sale.

Lifetimes ago people would say to me after looking at my art: “the day you paint an unicorn will be the day hell freezes over”. no shade on magical unicorns, but I never thought about a painting which concept required me to paint a unicorn.

Flash forward to now and I find myself working on several painting series and collections. One of these series depicts our modern hieroglyphs: Emojis. I show part of the emoji as is and part of it painted in a more developed and realistic way. I have painted a unicorn and Its glorious.The expression is priceless.
