Something magical happens when we create the space to soften and grow quiet enough to listen for what’s beneath the surface.

Creativity doesn’t arise through force, but through allowing what’s already present to exist and naturally express itself.

The invitation is to court our creativity as if it were a lover we long to delight in, taking the time to truly get to know.

We don’t project our fantasies or beliefs about what or who our muse should be.

We allow our muse to show us who they are, revealing themselves layer by nuanced layer.

We become achingly present in our noticing of what’s emerging, creating safety for what has longed to be heard and expressed to finally have a voice and to be fully received without judgment.

We relax our grip and simply let go long enough to allow our consciousness to flow in the way it has most deeply longed to: free, unbound, and wholly itself.

There is a strange phenomenon that occurs when a nightmare becomes realized when the thing you’ve been working so hard to avoid finally comes to pass.

All of the angst, endless effort, and energy you’ve allocated to avoiding the pain suddenly has no place to go. The focal point of your attention becomes untethered. The person, place, or thing that felt so essential to your well-being or survival and held so much importance in your life is no longer occupying the same space in your life.

The irony of this phenomenon is that our worst fears coming to pass also have the opportunity to become the portals to our deepest freedom if we allow them to be.

When we work so hard to hold on and have no option but to let go we find ourselves within a wilderness of unknowns. We become blank canvas, un-molded clay, a compass without a map.

All of this space suddenly opens up to feel what’s truly here, to sense who we are without the person or thing we’ve been organizing ourselves around for so long.

Initially, it might feel like a crisis of identity, a death or dying. We might feel lost like we don’t know who we are without it or them. We might long for the safety of belonging, the reassurance that all is not lost, that we aren’t lost.

Human to human, I want you to know that it’s okay to feel lost. And as much as you might feel like it right now, you aren’t alone.

It’s okay to feel scared, and like you don’t know what to do. It’s okay to fall apart, to cry, scream, rage, and grieve because when we experience a life-altering loss, it’s so normal and human to feel lost.

You get to give yourself time and space to feel your way through to the bottom and weather this storm. There is no rush, as much as you might want to rush your way through the crucible of feeling everything you were working so hard not to feel.

The greatest gift you could offer yourself during this time is deep compassion and permission to be exactly where you are.

This is so my medicine for this moment and really a daily practice.

As collective intensity increases and the volume feels like it’s being turned up on our lives, our first impulse might be to rush to keep up or move faster to avoid the overwhelm, dis-ease, or discomfort we are feeling.

It’s in these moments, we need ourselves the most, to turn towards when we’d rather run away and meet with profound gentleness and compassion what’s asking to be felt.

In the meeting of what’s here, confusion has the opportunity to turn towards clarity and our awareness can more easily discern the pulse of our present moment alignment.

In the slow down, we can more easily feel and in the feeling of the unfelt we create natural space that enhances our capacity to listen and clearly hear what is being expressed.

If you are ever feeling a little lost or overloaded by what’s happening, remember you already have the medicine within you.

Although your inner compass might feel like it’s going a bit haywire and it might feel challenging to know which direction to go, trust that the path forward will become clear in the slow down.

Invite yourself to pause until you can feel the pulse of your alignment beating in symphony with your aliveness.

And then, with clear intention and deep connection to your truth in this moment, fluidly move into expression and embodied action.

So much love to you during these eclipse times and beyond 🤗🙏🏼✨🌘🌒
