With the Fourth of July almost here, we know that grills will be the star of your backyard parties! We wanted to share a few tips for a healthier way to grill – and cut your cancer risk, too!
Partially pre-cook meats in the oven or microwave for two minutes before grilling reduces heterocyclic amines (HCA) by 90%
Marinating meat before grilling can reduce HCA content by 99%
Mix up your meat choices as diets high in red and/or processed meats are linked to an increased risk of colorectal cancer.
