Good afternoon from Jefferson County.
To my knowledge, everyone is safe.
That is where the good news ends. 😬☺️Personally, the roof to my house is gone, my office bldg is tipped sideways, my driveway was impassable, and 6 trees down, (all of our big ones).
My parents place is significantly worse, tree landed on the house, dozens more down.
This is just a synapses, it is at least this severe, or worse, in many, many places.
There is no cell phone service, no electricity, no gas, etc. Main roads are ‘passable’, many are one lane, but many byroads, backroads, etc, are still blocked.
I think we will all be fine, and volunteers are starting to show up.
I can’t help but wonder what it must be like down south of here, where Helene was crossing ground that literally softened her up before she got here.
Pretty sure those folks are the ones who truly need prayers & help.
If someone knows of someone who is truly in trouble, like trapped in their house, injured, or needs someone checked on that they haven’t been able to get in touch with, please let me know.

A fun little job in North GA, at a place called Georgia Greens. They grow lettuce for local businesses, & this was an expansion to their packing facility, with some office space as well.
Love spraying foam that will be left exposed, where looks/cleanliness/aesthetics matter.
