We just returned from the National Opioid Settlement Fund Conference in Denver, Colorado, where we were joined by colleagues from the Maine Recovery Council and the Maine Opioid Settlement Support Center (MOSS).

The conference brought together leaders from across the country to exchange ideas and explore best practices around transparency, accountability, meaningful engagement of people with lived experience, and tracking spending and outcomes.

As we move this work forward, we remain committed to ensuring that OSF are invested responsibly, guided by transparency, accountability, and the voices of those most directly impacted by the opioid crisis.

Women involved in the criminal legal system often face challenges that extend far beyond incarceration, including trauma, substance use, mental health needs, and barriers to stability and support.

Understanding these realities is critical to creating policies and programs that promote healing and successful reentry. Reentry Sisters provides a community of support for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women.
