Almost every song on this album was written last year, during one of the worst periods of my life. I wasn’t in a good place mentally, emotionally, or spiritually — and I didn’t try to hide that in the music. These are some of the darkest, rawest, most honest songs I’ve ever released.

First of the Year isn’t about pretending things are okay. It’s about surviving a year that almost broke me and putting those moments into sound. If you’ve ever felt lost, numb, addicted, or trapped in your own head — this album is for you.
