Farewell Aunty Kula! Rest in Peace!

Another very emotional photo shoot. Aunty Kula and my mother had been friends for as long as I can remember. They were as close as sisters. In African tradition, your mother's closet friend is automatically your Aunty. I surprisingly kept my emotions in check as I did her makeup and completed this shoot. During the shoot, Aunty Kula spoke constantly of her Sister Rachel. Her expressions changed constantly each time she mentioned her. Some thing really weird happened several times during the shoot: she seemed to have the exact same expression as my mother and I literally thought I was seeing my mother. I didn't mention it for fear of everyone thinking I had lost my mind. After the shoot, her daughter Alice and Miriam said "did you noticed that Aunty Kula looked like Mama at some times during the shoot?" I said "you noticed too?"
