The term "coming out" is mostly used nowadays in reference to people who are gay, but it is not only those who are hiding their sexuality who can benefit from "coming out" - it is ANYONE who is hiding a part of who he or she authentically is from the world out of fear of being shunned.

Who you are is who you are. You don't need to create the real you and you certainly don't need me or anyone else to tell you how the real you should be.

You simply need to let this person step out from behind all those facades that have concealed you from the rest of the world and even from yourself.

As you muster the courage to express yourself fully and let go of your need to prove yourself to others or hide yourself from others, you will gradually become more comfortable with being you.

Reveal yourself one step at a time

There is a voice inside all women. We strive so mightily to be good: good wives, daughters, mothers, employees and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? Who do I really want to be? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent – even from ourselves.

At first, I tried to ignore these thoughts. But I soon realized that they had come from within. This was my own voice, the one I had buried beneath decades of cultural and religious conditioning and allegiances.

This was my voice of the girl I had been before the world told me who to be. Women yearn to be free; yet, we often feel encaged in our daily lives consumed by fear and unworthiness.

Its time to embark on a transformational journey to become who you were always meant to be.
