Here is the Stainless Steel Swimming Pool we painted in the process of being prepped.

This is where we had to grind down the gutters to get off all the old paint. The majority of the pool was sandblasted, but around the gutters the old paint was extremely stubborn, so we had to go at it with grinders.

It was a tedious process prepping the stainless steel for paint. Long days in the sun, but a necessity to get the paint to stick properly. If not done correctly, the paint would not have adhered to the shell. It would have bubbled, chipped and delaminated.

And as we all know, that kind of stuff doesn't happen to the Shark! It's stuck to this day! 💪🦈😎

Have you ever seen a Stainless Steel Swimming Pool?

Here is an interesting commercial project we were involved in years ago. It's not only the gutters that were stainless steel, but the whole pool shell! It's a rare thing to see in the pool business, as we don't see them often in a commercial setting. We thought it'd be a cool thing to share.

For this job, the whole pool was sandblasted, prepped, taped, primed and painted.

Interesting point, when it was hot enough outside, the steel panels would actually flex and bow, making the whole pool a little bouncy. That's why it looks wavy when drained. It's like we were walking on a metal water bed, or the moon, or something. It's a weird feeling to say the least, but a fun fact.

We not only plaster, but paint when necessary! 🦈
