One Great Day of Evangelism (OGDE)
Pastor or Christian Leader,
We are inviting all churches, which believe salvation is exclusively through Jesus Christ, to participate in the One Great Day of Evangelism. During this day, we are asking all churches and individual Christians to intentionally witness to an unsaved loved one, neighbor, family member or friend the day before Easter Saturday, April 12, 2020.
This strategy promotes unity among the ecumenical Christian church. Unity, is based on Joshua 1: 12-15, where Moses told two tribes that wanted to stay on the other side of Jordan to "help" their brothers possess their land, then return to their possession. The strategy is also based on my publication, Unity, The Highest Form of Evangelism, 2008, Hopewell, D. Joshua Ministry, God’s Witnessing Army, 2001. The day before Easter was the day the Lord revealed to Minister Jeanette Cody, a member at Greenforest Community Baptist Church as the day for implementation. Back in 2003, the Lord dropped into her spirit that the Body of Christ is missing a golden opportunity to reach others for Christ, and that golden opportunity is the Saturday before Easter Sunday each year. On that day, the Body of Christ everywhere would go out into a dying world and testify about a living Savior. (In other words, One Great Day of Evangelism).
The strategy can be implemented to evangelize any city, regardless of size, and promotes “unity" within the "Body," as Protestant churches regardless of denomination or affiliation combine members and resources to fulfill the Great Commission.
One Great Day of Evangelism will be implemented on April 11, 2020. We will provide training for those who participate on Saturday morning at Greenforest Community Baptist Church. Before April 11, we are available to provide training to your congregation and develop a long-term strategy to reach those in your community.
We are asking all Christians everywhere to share their faith with at least one lost person on the day before Easter. Training will be held at Greenforest Community Baptist Church, Decatur Georgia, 30034.
