Thank you, Stetson University , for hosting my concert lecture “Exploring German Romanticism.” I’m especially grateful to Dean Washington Garcia for the invitation. The masterclass and the performance were deeply rewarding — thank you to the students and everyone who attended.
Isn’t it fascinating how nature and music intertwine? Whether it’s the rhythmic clatter of an old mill or the gentle flow of a creek, both can evoke powerful musical imagery. Wagner knew this well, often drawing inspiration from the natural world to create timeless works like Rheingold. Nature’s sounds remind us that music is all around us—sometimes you just have to listen.
