I was thinking of all the things Jesus told us in the Bible we should do, to please the Father. Basically things we should do versus things we should not to enter the kingdom of heaven. But there is only one thing that he asked us to do. And he said do this in remembrance of me.
He asked us to take his body and blood in remembrance of him. This Sunday I took Holy Communion, the Holy Eucharist, the actual Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. I honored his request. The Catholic priest does not turn a piece of bread and a glass of wine into flesh and blood. But by the power of the Holy Spirit Jesus Christ is transform into bread and wine and I consumed his DNA into my body and soul. There is no greater gift that God has ever given human beings, than to be able to honor Christ request, "This is my Body and this is my Blood, take this in remembrance of me. Yet so many people walking the face of the Earth never receive this gift from God.
It is available 360 days of the year. It saddens me to think so many people ignore the one thing he asked of us to do in remembrance of him.
