Thinking about our Black Qu**rs Femmes event at back in February when blessed us with an amazing feature. Even though our community still exists, we really miss celebrating and seeing you all face to face! For those of us with capacity, there are still ways we can support each other despite our physical distance.

Alchemy is a curated performance art space that elevates voices that are often silenced. Performers in our community focus on the brilliance of storytelling by offering personal stories and reflections that are socially relevant. We are powerful artists and our space allows our audience to witness the craft at its highest form. We believe that art is a divine power to create community.

Please note this space is being created with the intention of centering and celebrating Black People - POC and White allies are welcome to attend and support but please be respectful of the space and it's intention. Ways to support: by them a drink, let them ahead of you in line, give them some gas, offer them a ride, ask for their Venmo, listen more and talk less, be intentional
about why you are here. Thank you 💕

This event is taking place on the stolen ancestral land of the Duwamish tribe, we honor with gratitude the land itself and its indigenous people.

The only entrance to the event is down a staircase, which unfortunately makes it inaccessible to folks who cannot use stairs. A couple of the performances
will include music and poetry.
At this time we are unable to provide CART
or interpretation services
for hard of hearing or deaf individuals.

In the future we hope to host
events in spaces that are more accessible,
as we believe people’s experience of art
should not be limited by a space’s inability
to accommodate all bodies.
As of now, we as a group are operating with
little financial resource and planning capacity.
