I’m Ashley and I’m pretty obsessed with all things beauty. I’m also the Atlanta editor of DailyCandy, so that basically makes me an expert on girly stuff by default. Well, that and all the other things I’m about to confess. When I go to the mall, I purposely park at Bloomingdale’s so I have to walk through the beauty counters to get anywhere else. I trudge through in a zombie-like state, happily a
ccepting any and all perfume samples (Want to douse me in Dolce? Sure, go right ahead!), lathering up with the latest Philosophy moisturizers (Ahhh, so creamy…), and keeping my hungry eyes peeled for the newest, shiniest, must-have products (Oh, and is that a Lancome gift with purchase? Well, now I have to buy something!)
Don’t even get me started on Sephora. I love manis, pedis, massages, airbrush tans, trying new fitness classes, juicing, eyelash extensions, and discovering natural skin and hair remedies. Also, I love vodka. I’m a music freak and am always searching for the latest tracks to get me going on a run or before a night out (ie. to sing at the top of my lungs in the shower). I die for a perfect blowout at Drybar, especially when they keep my wine glass full. I have such an obscene amount of makeup and other beauty-related products that I even keep some in my office/storage room so boys who come over don’t judge me. Wait, did I just admit that? But I believe the most important element in anyone’s quest for pretty is having fun and being happy. We all should be laughing all the damn time and not taking ourselves too seriously. Nothing is prettier than a smile, and if someone is bitter/unhappy/judgey/sucks at life and can’t laugh at him/herself, no amount of beauty products and treatments can make that look good. Girl, you know it’s true. I started this blog to share my favorite girly things with a (hopefully) funny twist. We’ll talk lipstick, hair, moisturizers, fitness, nail polishes, playlists, waxing, tans, bra fittings, low-cal drinks, sex toys (whaa?), vacay must-haves, hangover cures, beauty tip, tricks, and so much more.
