WEEKEND OUTLOOK: May 8-10, 2026

Dry on Friday, occasionally wet but not a washout for Saturday and Sunday. No severe weather expected at this time.

FRIDAY: Increasing clouds as we go through the day. Highs in the low to mid 70s.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, temperatures falling through the 60s and 50s.

SATURDAY: Showers and storms will be scattered in nature throughout the day with a mix of sun and clouds. The best chance of seeing a shower will be from before sunrise to about lunchtime. After that, showers and storms become more isolated in nature for the afternoon and evening. Highs in the mid 70s.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated showers and storms. Temperatures falling through the 60s.

MOTHER'S DAY: Pretty much a repeat of Saturday except chances to see a shower or storm are pretty even through the day. Showers and storms will be scattered in nature throughout the day with peaks of sunshine possible. Highs in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY NIGHT: A surface front pushes through the area from the northwest and chances of rain start to wind down as we go through the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures falling through the 60s.

SPOILER: Dry air filters in behind the frontal passage Sunday night setting us up for a very dry and sun-filled week next week.

Carrollton Police Department - Georgia is reporting that ALL LANES of Northside Drive/NB/SB are CLOSED at Shady Grove Road/Stewart Street. Traffic is stopped from Bankhead Highway / Bypass Intersection. Northside Drive is 166/connector also known as the other end of the Bypass to us. This is near the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the East Carrollton Recreation department. Please avoid the area. Use Almon Road/North Lakeshore / US 27 / GA 113 as alternates.

YOUR WEEK AHEAD: April 20 - 24, 2026

Sunshine will rule the sky all week long as we warm back into the 80s by mid-week after our brief cool down from Sunday.

Spoiler for the weekend: a pattern change may finally be on the way that could introduce the start of a wetter pattern to our area. While it's too early to get into specifics, it does look possible that we could see more meaningful rain amounts from at least two systems, one over the weekend and one early to mid next week.

YOUR WEEK AHEAD / February 16-20, 2026

Spring fever will likely be in full force this week as it will feel more like late March than mid-February! Temperatures will be climbing through the week starting in the mid to upper 60s today rounding out the week in the mid to upper 70s!

Sunshine will be in full force today and tomorrow, but clouds will be on the increase on Wednesday ahead of our next weather maker moving in once again in time for the weekend. We'll refine the timing, percentages, and amounts of rain for the late week into the weekend as we get closer to mid week.

In the meantime, take time to enjoy the absolutely beautiful weather we have in store to start out the new week!
