I actually grew up in a hair salon. In a few in fact. My mom was a hairstylist growing up and my first jobs involved shampooing hair for her clients and answering phones. I also made appointments - hand written in pencil in a spiral bound book. That’s where I got to see how she worked with her clients and I owe a lot of credit to her for showing me how to be comfortable and lead my clients.
