“Perspective…Belonging…My sounding board…Family.”
That’s how members describe VMG—and it came to life over three days at the 2026 Congress of the VMGs, our largest gathering to date.
Under this year’s theme, “Ascend Together,” members came together to share insight, challenge one another, and strengthen the relationships that drive independent veterinary practices forward.
Throughout Congress, speakers, Preferred Partners and session panels explored the future of the profession—from economic outlooks and leadership development to communication and innovation.
In the final sessions, Brian Beaulieu provided a forward-looking perspective on the decade ahead, followed by Matt Salois, Ph.D., who reinforced a central theme: progress is a choice—and one we make together.
This recap features perspectives from VMG members including Scott Linick, DVM, FAVD (VMG-33 & VMG-35), Elizabeth Clyde, DVM (VMG-17), Michael Mison, DVM, DACVS (VMG-30), Lindsay Peltier, LVT (VMG-46), Susan Baker, DVM (VMG-05), and Manuel Lima, DVM (VMG-41).
As Congress 2026 concluded, one truth emerged with renewed clarity: VMG is a community defined not just by rising success, but by heightened connections.
We look forward to what we’ll build together. See you at the 2028 Congress!
