Purpose: OS2K views its purpose as helping young women develop emotionally, mentally, spiritually, personally, & professionally. OS2K seeks to provide a support system that is dedicated to helping others reach their FULL POTENTIAL. Vision: To ensure that all women (Young mothers included) served are equipped with everything they need to be successful. Mission: To encourage moms to cultivate and become independent by achieving all of their goals.
One of the best things you can do for yourself as a woman, is rest. This week I attended the Woman Evolve Conference for the first time. The conference was great, being around other women has a particular energy that is better than a Red Bull.
The nourishment I received from being with my good friend, my sis, resting, laughing and eating was EVERYTHING. No kids, no husband, no responsibilities, and no pressure. I feel refreshed. The biggest nugget I took away from the conference was to surrender- and surrender I DID!
I surrendered the need to be busy, the pressure stick to the schedule, and feelings of guilt for not being home with my family. I surrendered this darn test (EPPP). Lol I surrendered some folx who I shall not name. I SURRENDER.
