Blooming All Over

You are now looking at the new GA State Representative for Birth Justice Care Fund!

The Birth Justice Care Fund (BJCF) supports Black, Brown, Q***r, and Trans birthing folks in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Kentucky.

What I deeply love and respect about BJCF is their intentional investment in both birthing people and BIPOC birth workers, and how it strengthens community-based care networks and advances reproductive justice at its roots.

We talk about this a lot on the Postpartum Liberation podcast. Liberation is not true liberation if those who are at the forefront are not well, cared for, and thriving. There are no martyrs in a liberation framework.

As I shared when I was elected: I have overflow this year. And I’m going to use it pouring into those who serve, who pour, who “doula” the people. We all deserve overflow.

This weekend and the entire team made sure that we were filled up and overflowing this weekend. This was such a rebirth for so many of us. This was spiritual. Life giving. And necessary. Thank you all so much for a powerful and joyous experience. 🙏🏾
